What You'll Do
As a Land Survey Project Manager, you will oversee survey projects from initiation through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met while mentoring staff and supporting business development efforts.
- Project Management & Oversight
Lead project management efforts including scope development, fee proposals, scheduling, and contract negotiations while ensuring successful project delivery. - Business Development & Client Engagement
Support proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs/RFQs; build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the Southern California market. - Technical Leadership
Provide technical oversight across survey projects including transportation design surveys, right-of-way engineering and mapping, construction surveys, ALTA surveys, and topographic mapping. - Team Leadership & Mentorship
Guide and mentor survey staff, CAD drafters, and subconsultants, supporting professional development and team growth. - Project Coordination & Communication
Lead project meetings, manage communication, and ensure alignment between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in California
- 5+ years of progressively responsible land surveying and mapping experience (transportation experience preferred)
- 3+ years of project management experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office, and Teams
- Familiarity with California state and local mapping requirements and regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
- Incentives: Discretionary performance bonus program
