As our Office Land Surveyor I / II / III for our Survey & Geospatial team in Southern California, you'll support project delivery, collaborate with a growing team, and contribute to a wide range of surveying and mapping services across infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

As an Office Land Surveyor I / II / III, you will support survey projects from initiation through completion, contributing technical expertise while collaborating with internal teams and supporting project delivery efforts.

  • Project Coordination & Support
    Support technical survey work alongside surveyors, CAD drafters, engineers, subcontractors, and agencies to prepare drawings, submittals, and specifications.
  • Technical Surveying & Analysis
    Assist with surveying tasks including research and analysis, title reports, right-of-way engineering, ALTA surveys, design surveys, topographic mapping, photogrammetry, LiDAR processing, and boundary mapping.
  • Mapping & Deliverables
    Draft technical exhibits and prepare final survey deliverables for agency submittals and project requirements.
  • Research & Calculations
    Conduct boundary research and retracement analysis; perform survey calculations and support field-related computations.
  • Project Documentation & Systems
    Support RFIs, reports, schedules, and maintain project file systems and digital survey records.
  • Team Collaboration & Client Support
    Assist Project Surveyors with daily coordination while supporting collaboration across disciplines and helping build client relationships.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-8+ years of land surveying experience or a Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or a related field
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with CADD software

Preferred Qualifications

  • LSIT (Land Surveyor in Training) certification
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center (TBC), Carlson, MicroStation, or InRoads
  • Public mapping experience (subdivision maps, parcel maps, records of survey, legal descriptions, exhibits)
  • Topographic design mapping experience
  • Ability to read and interpret deeds and legal descriptions
  • Knowledge of boundary survey principles

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Range: $31.00 - $50.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
