Step Into Leadership Without Leaving the Shop

We are looking for a high-level GM technician ready to take the next step into a Technical Trainer / Shop Leader role. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in diagnostics, enjoys mentoring others, and wants to make a direct impact on shop performance, efficiency, and culture.

You'll serve as the go-to technical expert, helping develop technicians, solve complex problems, and elevate the overall quality of our service department.

What You'll Do

• Act as the in-house GM technical expert for diagnostics and advanced repairs
• Train and mentor technicians through hands-on coaching and structured development
• Assist with complex diagnostics and hard-to-solve repair orders
• Build and implement training plans for new and existing technicians
• Support proper use of GM service information, GDS2, MDI, and programming tools
• Identify comeback trends and deliver targeted training to improve quality
• Partner with service leadership to improve efficiency, productivity, and shop performance
• Stay current on GM updates, EV technology, and ADAS systems
• Help develop apprentices and career paths for technicians
• Promote a safe, organized, and high-performing shop environment

What We're Looking For

• GM dealership technician experience (required)
• GM certifications (Master Technician strongly preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with GDS2, MDI, and service programming
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead others
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Organized, process-driven, and quality-focused
• Team-first mindset with high professionalism

Preferred Experience

• Shop Foreman or Team Lead background
• Experience training apprentices or entry-level technicians
• ASE certifications
• EV / Hybrid diagnostic experience
• ADAS calibration experience
